Château Fontenil Fronsac 2015

Le Château Fontenil est la propriété du couple d’œnologues bordelais Dany et Michel Rolland ! S’ils ont toujours porté beaucoup d’attention à ce joli cru surplombant la rivière Isle depuis son acquisition en 1986, ils s’y investissent encore davantage depuis qu’ils se sont séparés de leur vignoble pomerolais, Château Le Bon Pasteur. C’est donc désormais à Fontenil que le fameux style Rolland s’exprime pleinement : neuf hectares de merlot (90%) et cabernet-sauvignon en coteau orientés plein sud et vendangés en vert pour atteindre une maturité encore plus accomplie, dans une maîtrise toujours parfaite ; choix d’une vinification partielle en cuves bois dès la fermentation malo-lactique, avec 60% de chêne neuf jusqu’à l’élevage délibérément prononcé…  pour des vins qui restent toujours très racés.

Dany and Michel Rolland, oenologists trained at the University of Bordeaux and anchored in a strong wine-growing tradition, were very familiar with the Fronsac appellation, and after providing consulting services to numerous estates, were looking to settle there and make their own wine. In 1986 they bought a few hectares in the commune of Saillans, overlooking the Isle river and Libourne, in a magnificent setting on a south-facing slope: thus was Château Fontenil born.

Dany und Michel Rolland, Erben einer soliden Weinbautradition und Önologen der Universität Bordeaux, sind mit der Appellation Fronsac bestens vertraut und haben sich nach ihrer Beratertätigkeit für mehrere Weingüter entschlossen, Wein zu erzeugen und sich dort niederzulassen. So kauften sie 1986 einige Hektar in der Gemeinde Saillans, mit Blick auf die Flüsse Isle und Libourne, in herrlicher Lage an einem Südhang: Château Fontenil war geboren.

Дани и Мишель Роллан, наследники прочных виноградарских традиций и энологи Университета Бордо, которые хорошо знают апелласьон Фронсак, рассмотрели многочисленные объекты и захотели здесь обосноваться и производить вино.  Так, в 1986 году они купили несколько гектаров в районе Сэланс с видом на реки Иль и Либурн, на склоне, обращенном к югу, с великолепным видом: так родилось Шато Фонтениль.
